Ferdinand I of Romania was King of Romania from 1914 until 1927; he became known as "the Unifier" as after World War I Romania enlarged its kingdom to including Bessarabia, Bukovina and Transylvania. While Tarom is the national carrier, this initiative intends to honour those who contributed to the establishment of modern Romania. The decal was quickly damaged and removed soon afterwards.

Carol I of Romania was the monarch of Romania from 1866 to 1914. In May 1877, he proclaimed Romania an independent and sovereign nation. While Tarom is the national carrier, this initiative intended to honour those who contributed to the establishment of modern Romania. (Initially Carol I, Carol II and Michael I of Romania were all expected to be featured on Blue Air tails).

Blue Air teamed up with the Liverpool City tourism office for this logojet. Both sides were different and and displayed the city skyline as well as references to the very active music scene in the city.
